Farewell to Alex Fitton

Farewell to Alex Fitton

Among the departing Paulines of 2020 is Mr Alex Fitton who has served the College as Associate Senior Tutor, Assistant Sub-Warden and Assistant Dean of Undergraduates.

Alex entered College as a Waddy-Pockley Scholar for Law in 2017, having recently graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney. Alex was appointed to the role of Associate Senior Tutor for 2018 and then Assistant Sub-Warden later in that same year. All present will recall Alex’s successful convening of the 2018 Law Faculty Dinner, with guest of honour Professor Anne Twomey, Australia’s pre-eminent constitutional law scholar.

In 2019, Alex graduated from the University of Sydney with a Juris Doctor. This year, Alex was awarded the Judge Humfry Henchman Prize for Final Year Law and has just completed his final essays for a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney.

Alex’s service under three Wardens will be remembered for his highly conscientious approach towards the cultivation of leadership for good in the spirit of cultural renewal. We wish him all the best.
