Physical activity is important for general well-being and health at all stages of adult life. The College is strongly supportive of this self-evident truth.
For over 100 years, the College has participated in the Rawson Cup intercollegiate competition in cricket, rowing, swimming, rugby, football, basketball, tennis and athletics. The College is represented in each sport by one team/crew and all students are encouraged to try out for selection. In addition to the College rugby XV, there is also a Warden’s XV which competes in social matches. Students with interest or experience in other sports are strongly encouraged to organise and promote games within the College or against other colleges.
The College encourages serious sportsmen to play wider representative sport for the University or comparable teams.
