Rowing. An algae outbreak at the Regatta has forced Rawson rowing to be pushed back to (likely) 6 October, depending on the state of the outbreak. The College VIII continues to train and prepare at an extreme level in the hope of securing a three-peat.
Other Sports. Rugby League. In other codes of the football variety, the College XIII notched up two victories on the trot, downing Wesley 45-10 at Paul’s, and John’s 26-4 at John’s. The side will look to take on Drew’s next semester, and even go beyond USYD boundaries to challenge other university colleges around Sydney and the state. AFL. The College XVIII kept John’s football code spirits on the back foot with a comprehensive 79-38 victory. In extremely muddy and unpleasant conditions, the side showcased remarkable Aussie rules ability, considering their lack of experience, all while holding off niggling tactics used by the men from Missenden Road.
