The magnificent original Dining Hall is the heart of the College. Each day the College community gathers together for meals under its imposing Gothic windows and timbered ceiling.
Formal dinner, for which the dress is jacket, tie and academic gown, is held from Monday to Thursday as are all major celebrations and is one of the experiences which makes living at Paul’s unique. Its importance lies in the fact that this when the College community comes together and is therefore the high point of the day. Unless they have unavoidable commitments elsewhere (such as late lectures, work or sports training) students are expected to attend. Formal dinner is a three-course meal served at the table and includes distinctive College ceremonies and the most important community announcements and guest speakers.
Breakfast and lunch on weekdays and all weekend meals are informal, self-service meals.
